B Corp Certification and Manufacturing Practices at 3DCORK

3DCORK is a B Corp Certified company. This certification covers the company’s social, environmental and governance practices and supports our commitment to continuous improvement.

From Raw Material to Production

We work with cork, a renewable raw material harvested from the bark of the cork oak without cutting down the tree. We develop agglomerated cork materials and composites with formulations tailored to each application’s requirements.

During production, we seek to optimise material use and recover cork waste for reintegration into new applications where technically feasible.

Annually Monitored Indicators

In 2025, at our Paços de Brandão facility:

• 60% of the electricity consumed was supplied by our own photovoltaic generation.

• 90% of cork waste generated during production was reintegrated into new applications, by mass.

We monitor these indicators annually to track resource use and identify opportunities for improvement.

Information Specific to Each Solution

Composition, manufacturing processes, use and end-of-life destination are relevant when assessing a product’s environmental characteristics. Information about recycled content, bio-based components or recovery options must therefore relate to the solution actually supplied.
